 The mid coast, Monterey Bay California , is filled with fog and mystery most of the year. Squid boats start to arrive in Monterey in April. The generosity of a friend-fisherman brought me out to sea in 2021. There I could see the effects of a rolling ocean, fog so thick we could only see 10' in front of us, and distant lights from the illuminating boats, also on the search for  life under the sea.
